Er, what are we missing here? Oscar darlings Jennifer Connelly and Joaquin Phoenix team up with the esteemed Mark Ruffalo (You Can Count on Me, Zodiac) and the writer/director of Hotel Rwanda, and this barely gets a proper release. A fascinating study of guilt and reckoning, Reservation Road presents the perspective of two families involved in a hit-and-run accident and how each one’s lives are inexorably altered. Powerfully acted and composed, it’s very much worth exploring on the small screen.
